Description
The aroma is dominated by wild berries and spicy cherry, with tobacco, spices and delicate floral notes in the background. The palate is broad and structured, with expressive tannins and lively acid support; the texture is dry and classically “barol-like”. The aftertaste is long, moving from berry to tea leaf, licorice and roasted coffee.
Suitable for food
Risotto with wild mushrooms, beef steak, osso buco, truffle pasta.

When to enjoy
Perfect for an evening when you have time to let the wine open up in the glass and show its layers. Also a great choice for cellaring if you prefer tannins that soften over time and a deeper spiciness.
